Winnie Elizabeth Berrey

Miss. Winnie Elizabeth Berrey 91, of Cumming, GA passed away peacefully on April 16, 2018.

She was born to Lizzie F. Berrey and Thomas Hazard Berrey on August 20, 1926 in PineHill, Alabama, one of 3 siblings.

Liz lived all her life in Alabama where she retired from Rime Construction Company after 50 years of service. She enjoyed visiting the Beach in Panama City Florida. She resided in Birmingham, AL until most recently when she re-located to Cumming, GA to be closer to family for care.

Liz was an active member of Lakeside Baptist church in Birmingham, AL all of her life. She was an avid crafter and enjoyed sewing, making clothing, crafting Christmas ornaments, gifts and decorations for homes.

Her sister Jessie B. Hill and Brother Thomas Fred Berrey preceded Liz in death.

Two nephews and two nieces survive Liz, Thomas E. Hill, of Danville, VA and family; nephew Carol Fredrick Berrey of Seattle Washington and family; niece Carla B. Louix and family of Seattle, Washington and niece Sally Berrey of Oregon.

Liz's infectious smile and uncanny wit will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in memory of Liz to the Oaks at Hampton Assisted Living and Memory Care Community: Activities Program, 5610 Hampton Park Drive Cumming, GA 30041.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 1pm Central Time at Pine Crest Cemetery in Mobile, AL.
