William Jackson Pope, Jr.

William Jackson Pope, Jr., age 75 of Dawsonville, Ga. passed away on Wednesday January 3, 2018. He was born in Plainfield, N.J., graduated from North Plainfield High School, then attended the University of Arizona.

He enjoyed a long career designing and building homes. A devoted and loving family man and close friend to many, enjoyed family fishing vacations to Cape Cod and preparing wonderful meals as a self proclaimed chef. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 wonderful years Barbara June Pope; sons, William Jackson Pope III and wife Lynda, Todd Robert Pope and wife Shana, Travis Adam Pope and wife Ashley, Bradley Jacob Pope and wife Kati; grandchildren, Harlee Michaela, Aubree Rose, Jacob Ryan, Jax Adam, Ashelin Brooke and Colton Ford Pope.

A memorial will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 4:00 pm in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home in Cumming, Ga. Family will receive friends form 2 until 4 pm at the funeral home.
