William Dee Clarida

Dr. William Dee Clarida, age 85, of Cumming, Georgia went to be with his Lord on Monday, March 27, 2023. Bill was born May 8, 1937 in Centralia, Illinois to the late Troy William and Josephine Clarida. He was the youngest of five siblings who preceded him in death, Mary Ann, Barbara, Bob, and JB.

His Bachelor's degree was accomplished at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, his Master's degree from Tulane Medical school, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Indiana University. He practiced Dentistry in Buckhead for several years with Dr. Jim Cooper and then opened a private practice in Dunwoody and served his patients for forty years. He had been retired for ten years.

Bill had been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Dunwoody, member and past President of Chattahoochee Dental Study Group, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Northern District Dental Association, and Hinman Dental Society.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and was passionate about golf. He held memberships in the NRA, Dunwoody County Club, and Windermere Country Club. Bill was a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, the Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta Braves. He was a lifetime Episcopalian.

Bill was a devoted husband to his wife, Gale, of 37 years. He was a loving father and grandfather. Family was everything to him. He is survived by his wife, Gale, daughter Caren (Steve) Monetta, sons, Troy (Bonnie), John (Tia), Dave (Tina), and daughter in law Missy Cobb. He was preceded in death by his step children Heather Cobb and Nathan Cobb. He is survived by his grandchildren Ryder Clarida, Pierce Cobb, Brenna Monroe and Kyla Monroe, nephew Michael Brown, and nieces Patty Morton and Kay White.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Heather Cobb Meditation Garden at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit.

The memorial service will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, 724 Pilgrim Mill Road, Cumming, Georgia 30040 on Wednesday April 5, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
