William G. Baker

William G. Baker, 49, of Alpharetta, GA died on December 28, 2009. He was born in Oxford, England and was the son of Roger and Ruth Baker. His grandparents, William and Hilda Sewell and Wilson and Juliet Baker predeceased him. William was a physics graduate of Oxford University and, as a design engineer, held a number of patents. He worked for Cypress Semi-Conductor in Starkville, MS and most recently for IDT Inc in Atlanta. An avid Mississippi State football fan, he had a laugh that was infectious. To his nieces and nephews, he was brilliant. In addition to his parents, William is survived by his beloved wife, Angella Ray Baker; sister, Judith Baker (Johan) Fopma of Abingdon, England; brother, Richard (Laura) Baker of Edinburgh, Scotland; nephews, Daniel and Patrick Fopma; nieces, Maddy and Jess Baker; and much-loved pets, Baby, Rascal, Precious and Casper. Memorial services were held on January 5, 2010 in Cumming, GA. Friends are also invited to a Memorial Service to be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Starkville Community Theater in Starkville, MS.
