After his service, Mac embarked on a successful career in the office equipment sector, working for Lanier Business Products in Georgia and Louisiana and later at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, formerly known as Northeast Louisiana University. His career culminated with a fulfilling tenure at Southern Business Communications in Norcross, Georgia.

His service with the Civil Air Patrol in Georgia and Louisiana spanned 37 years and he was a respected and recognized leader as President of the Optimist Club in Monroe, Louisiana.

Mac's life was enriched by his love of the outdoors, where he often spent time hunting and fishing with his dear friend OC Hancock and boating on the Ouachita River and Lake Lanier. He was a passionate lover of music and found joy playing his guitar, singing karaoke with friends and family and singing his beloved hymns at church on Sunday mornings. Next to music, the love of flying was his favorite and could be found flying on his flight simulator daily.

Known for his loyalty, Mac was a devoted husband, father and friend. He found joy serving his community and loved his family and friends with a generous heart.
