Wayne Eubanks

Mr. Lawrence Wayne Eubanks, age 75, of Dahlonega, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013. Wayne and his wife moved to Dahlonega in 1993 after he retired from Merck and Co. He was an active member of Dahlonega Baptist Church, a devoted choir member for most of his life, and the chief coffee maker for the weekly Cooper-Green Men s Prayer Breakfast. Wayne dearly loved his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. He also loved music, laughter, and visiting with family and friends. Wayne was the son of the late Earl Benson, Sr., and Ruby Eubanks. He is survived by his wife, Frances Eubanks; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Don Pennell, LeAnne and Mart Martin; granddaughters, Anna Claire, Leah and Madeline; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Kenneth Wheeler; brother Benny Eubanks; and many nieces and nephews. He loved well. He finished well. He will be dearly missed. The funeral service was held at Dahlonega Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, with Pastor Bill Hutcheson officiating. Friends and family shared stories and sang and played some of Wayne s many favorite hymns. Interment followed in the Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery. Those desiring to do so may make a donation to the Sonshine Preschool at Dahlonega Baptist Church. Dahlonega Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
