Walter George Novack

Mr. Walter G. "Wally" Novack, Jr. died unexpectedly in his home on June 10, 2015 in Cumming, GA at the age of 77. Wally is survived by his loving wife Louise Novack of Cumming, GA, son Mark Novack of Cumming, GA, daughter Kara Zimmer married to David Zimmer of Suwannee, GA, son Brent Novack married to Lori Novack of Orlando, FL, grandchildren Leanne and Ryan Zimmer of Suwannee, GA, grandchildren Ellie, Jack and Lacie Novack of Orlando, FL and sister Mary Dirks of Phoenix, AZ. He is preceded in death by his father Walter G. Novack, Sr. and mother Marie Novack of Springfield, IL and sister Jeannie Kresin of Decatur, IL. Wally was born on August 25, 1937 in Springfield, IL to Mr. and Mrs. Walter G. Novack, Sr. He obtained an associates degree from the University of Illinois in 1957 with a degree in Accounting. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in June of 1957, achieving rank of Lance Corporal before being honorably discharged in 1959. He married Louise Kjer in Springfield, IL on June 9, 1962 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Between 1963 and 1971, the couple welcomed 3 kids into their home. Wally earned a living in sales management, spending the majority of his career in the construction machinery industry - with Massey Ferguson and Fiat-Allis. In his retirement years Wally enjoyed keeping his selling skills sharp by working at Country Boy Trailers. His children remember him as a fun loving dad - who was the eternal optimist, always ready to offer his support and fatherly advice. Wally enjoyed being around his family and friends, Saturday afternoon cookouts and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Visitation will be on June 19, 2015 from 1:30pm - 3:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial services will be held at 3pm in the chapel of the funeral home following the visitation.
