Walter Holland

Walter Newell Holland, born on May 15, 1938, in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, departed from this world on February 28, 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Walter Charles, and Doris Newell Holland.

Walter, known affectionately as Wally, leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and boundless generosity. He is survived by his devoted wife, Irmi, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and joys. Walter's presence will be deeply missed by his loving stepdaughters: Karen Klein (Enrique) and Lisa Augustine (John), son Anthony and daughter, Linda Koch (Roger).

His legacy extends further through his seven grandchildren: Jacqueline (spouse Kasey) and Jonathan Klein, Danielle, Keith, and Sidney Warshel, Kristen Chanowsky (Matthew), and Tony Holland (Kyra). Additionally, Walter was blessed with six great-grandchildren: Isabella, Giuliano, McKenna, Kensington, Asher, Greyson, and one great-granddaughter, Everett Klein, expected to arrive in May. Sadly, his beloved grandson Christopher preceded him in death.

Wally's life was a tapestry of kindness and humor. He was known for his caring nature, unwavering acceptance of others, and his innate generosity. His knack for storytelling and playful pranks brought joy to all who knew him. Walter had a unique talent for keeping his loved ones informed, whether it was the latest current events, product recalls, or health warnings.

As we bid farewell to Walter Newell Holland, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life marked by love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to family. Though he may no longer walk among us, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

A celebration of Walter's life will be held on Sunday, March 3rd, from 12:00-2:00pm. Please join us as we honor and remember a remarkable man who touched the lives of so many with his warmth, kindness, and infectious humor.
