Walter Russell Lipford

Walter Russell Lipford of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on July 17, 2023. Surrounded by his loving family.

Russell was born on November 19, 1947 in War, West Virginia to the late Elmer and Hazel Lipford. Russell and the family moved to Frederick, MD, when he was in the fifth grade. He graduated from Frederick High School in 1965 and started working with State Farm that June. He stayed with State Farm for the duration of his career until retiring in 2014. Russell married the love of his life, Pat, in June of 1966. They went on to have their only child Michael in April of 1967. Walter had 2 grandchildren: Ashley and Michael; and 4 great grandchildren: Russell, Anna, Nehamiah, and Kenneth.

Walter is survived by his loving wife, his son, his grandchildren, and his great grandchildren, and will be deeply missed.

A service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 11:00AM at City on a Hill Church in Cumming, Georgia.
