Virginia Louise Erickson, 81, Cumming (formerly of Tucker, GA)

Virginia (Louise) Erickson, of Cumming, Georgia sadly passed away at her home on Saturday, July 16th, 2022 at the age of 81. Louise was born on October 22, 1940 to the late Hubert Clayton and Irene Loggins Ray in Tate, Georgia. Louise was a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She happily spent her final days on a much-anticipated trip to the beach with some of her grandchildren, enjoying their company and feeling the warm sun on her skin.

Louise was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, James Phillip Erickson, Sr.; parents, Hubert Clayton and Irene Loggins Ray; sisters, Frances Williams, Eva Ray, Dorothy Chastain, Juanita Gilmore; brothers, Charles Ray, Glen Loggins, Hubert Ray.

Louise leaves behind her daughters, Debbie Ledford, Patricia Girdner; son, James Erickson, Jr.; grandchildren, Valerie (Jesse) Adkins, Denise (Terry) McCloud, Jennifer (Joey) Jarrard, Lisa (Matt) Mefferd, Jason Akins, Zachary Ledford; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.

Interment will be held on Wednesday, July 20 at 11:00 am at the Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery located at 4671 Hwy 53 East, Tate, Georgia 30177.
