Vincent Santangelo

–

Cumming, Georgia

Vincent "Vince" Anthony Santangelo, 71, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. To all who

knew Vince, he was the kindest, smartest, most compassionate man. He was the type of man that never

met a stranger. He had an innate ability to make everyone feel loved and cared for. He had a fierce love

of learning and never stopped yearning to learn something new every day. Vince was the type of person

that was never idle. He worked in the IT field for all his career. Most recently, he worked as a Senior IT

Business Analyst for Alcon, managing their global supply chain systems. He was constantly thinking of

ways to improve his work and make it run more efficiently. He loved spending time with his wife,

children, and grandchildren. In his free time, he loved tending to his vegetable garden and target

shooting, or as he liked to call it, plinking.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Santangelo, his son and daughter-in-law, Justin Smith and Renee

Hodgson, his daughter and her boyfriend, Gabi Santangelo and Austin Majernik, his grandkids, Hayden,

Lincoln, and Beau Smith, his sister, Annette Santangelo, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Darlene

and Jimmy Smith, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Sherre Smith, his nieces and nephews,

Taylor, Madison, and Kyler Smith and Kyle and Ashley Hopewell, and many other family members and

dear friends and coworkers.

In lieu of flowers, Vince would want a donation made to Tunnels to Towers or St. Jude Children's

Research Hospital in his honor.

Instead of a funeral service, Vince wanted a happier, more cheerful memorial picnic to celebrate his

wonderful life and contributions to the world. Details for this event will be shared when available.
