Vicky Lynn (Altheide) Spindler

Vicky Lynn Spindler, age 71, of Cumming, GA, passed away in the early morning hours of May 20, 2021, surrounded by her family following a brief illness. Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. Altheide and Wilmena Clow Altheide.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Spindler Sr.; son, Thomas E. (Amy) Spindler Jr.; daughters, Tamara L. (Gabriel) Trevino, Tracey Hall, and Bobbi A. Kraklio (Murray) 10 grandchildren Hallie K. Spindler, Claire M. Spindler, Graham T. Spindler, Arianna L.N. Trevino, Josiah G. Trevino, Gabriella "Ellie" F.N. Trevino, Keaton M. Ginski, Dara V. Kraklio, Christian T. Hall, Mason J. Hall and 2 great-grandchildren; Barrett B. Ginski, and

Aria L.N. Clark; brothers and sisters, Richard Altheide of Quincy, IL; Tina Hall, Pittsfield, IL, and Bobby Altheide Mendon, IL. Vicky was a lifelong member of the Assembly of God church where she served faithfully but always preferred to be in the background. She enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, and music but above all she was devoted to her family and cherished the time they spent together. She will be missed by all who knew her.

There will be a visitation held on Monday, May 24, 2021, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Dahlonega Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, in the funeral home chapel at 3 PM. The Rev. Steve Landers will officiate.

Following the services in Dahlonega, a visitation will be held on Thursday May 28, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M at Faith Assembly of God located at 4000 State St. Quincy, IL, 60305 under the direction of O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home. A graveside service will be held on Friday May 28, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Greenmount Cemetery, 1701 South 12th Street, Quincy, IL 62301.
