Vickie Jaudon

–

Cumming, Georgia

Vickie LaVelle Jaudon, 66, of Cumming, GA went to be with Jesus on October 27, 2026.
Vickie was a woman whose life was defined by love, compassion, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to her family. She had a heart for helping others, a fierce loyalty to people she loved, and a special gift for making people feel cared for.

Vicke was born on June 18, 1960, in Thomaston, Georgia, to Frank and Margaret Hawkins. She grew up in Upson County and graduated from Upson High School. In 1979, Vickie married the love of her life and her very best friend, Larry. Together, they built a life filled with adventures, laughter, challenges, and countless cherished memories. As a devoted military wife for nearly 20 years, Vickie embraced the moves and challenges that came with military life, traveling around the world with Larry and her children.

Eventually, Vickie and her family settled down in Pike County, Georgia, where Vickie pursued her calling to care for others. She graduated from Gordon College with a degree in nursing and went on to become a Registered Nurse. Throughout her career, she served as a Director of Nursing at several long-term care facilities, dedicating herself to the well-being and dignity of those entrusted to her care. Nursing was more than a career to Vickie; it was truly her passion. She cared deeply for her patients, their families, and the people she worked alongside.

But of all the roles Vickie held throughout her life, none brought her greater joy than being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved nothing more than spending time with them, often taking them out for a little “good business” --which meant a trip to Brewster’s for ice cream and, of course, a new toy. Those memories she shared with her grandchildren will be treasured forever.

Vickie is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years and best friend, Larry Jaudon; her three children Wendy Ilderton (James) of Cumming, Georgia, Johnathan Jaudon (Lauren) of Dawsonville, Georgia, and Chris Jaudon (Jennifer) of Hoschton, Georgia; her nine cherished grandchildren Ashley, Lauryn, Matthew, Luke, Caleb, Ansley, Reid, Thomas, and Benjamin; and her precious great-granddaughter, Helena.

Vickie’s legacy is one of love, service, strength, and family. She spent her life caring for others, asking nothing in return. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave so freely will live on in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Vickie Jaudon to the GBS|CIDP Foundation International, which supports people living with CIDP and related conditions.
