Tyler Thomas Kinsey

Tyler Thomas Kinsey, age 22 of Cumming, Georgia, passed away May 11, 2023.

Born on September 12, 2000, he was the son of Cliff and Tammy (Byrnes) Kinsey. In addition to his parents, Tyler is also survived by his sister, Jessica Kinsey; stepmom, Melissa Kinsey; maternal grandmother, Margot Byrnes; and a number of special uncles, aunts and cousins.

Family members predeceasing Tyler are paternal grandmother, Joy Kinsey; and maternal grandfather, David Byrnes.

Tyler had a zest for life and enjoyed listening to music, playing guitar, watching movies, playing video games, and loved all kinds of animals. During his childhood Tyler participated in martial arts (almost earning his black belt) and acted in school drama productions (including the lead in Wiley and the Hairy Man). Tyler had such a kind heart, would do anything for anyone, and had such a sharp wit and sense of humor. Tyler never met a stranger.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 21 from 2-4pm at McDonald & Son Funeral Home in Cumming, GA. Family and friends are welcome to drop by as we remember and celebrate our precious Tyler.

Tyler was in and out of recovery over the years, but he had a special place in his heart for Recovery Unplugged in Nashville and this is their nonprofit organization. Donations made in Tyler's name will help others in recovery.
