–

Cumming, Georgia

In loving memory of Tony John Wilson

October 30, 1962 - March 25, 2023

Tony was a man of many talents and trades and is difficult to summarize. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, stepfather, Papa, and friend. A generous friend to everyone who met him. No job was too difficult for him to perform and his passion was helping anyone in need. He was adept at bringing out the laughter in any situation, no joke was too inappropriate for him to tell. Always the life of the party and any occasion with him was a party.

He was raised in Murphy, North Carolina where he loved riding dirt bikes in the mountains w ith his brother Mike and their friends. He then joined the Army in 1983 serving with the 82nd Airbourne and then joined the 7th Special Forces Group as a Green Beret. Tony was a true patriot. He had a deep love for his country and fellow service men and women. He finished his military career as a Sergeant in 1986.

His life was then changed when he and Pamela had a son, Josh Wilson, born in February 1995. Later he married Cheryl Wilson in 2006 and became a stepdad to Chad, Corey, and Steven Tillery. He passed an incredible amount of knowledge and love to these boys. He was the model of what a father should be.

He loved adventuring with his wife and friends. From travelling to beaches, Japan, Italy, and more he made the most of his time. He became a Papa in February of 2015 when Josh and his wife Jenn had their 1st son David then later they had Tyler. Chad and wife Lindsay had 2 kids as well, Jameson and Sydney. Tony's whole world was his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. From pool time, to family vacations he cherished his time with his loved ones.

He had two left feet, but never missed a chance to show them off. He was always joking, always smiling, always trying to do everything he could to make anyone laugh.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl Wilson, his son Josh Wilson, his stepsons, Chad, Corey, and Steven Tillery, his mother Betty Wilson, his sister Teresa McKinney, his brother Mike Wilson. He will be cherished in their hearts forever.
