Tommy May

–

Cleveland, Georgia

Tommy David May, born on July 19, 1950 in Winter Haven, FL, was an embodiment of love, resilience, and hard work. His life was a testament to the verse in Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Tommy lived these words every day, from his birthplace in Winter Haven to his long-time residence in Cleveland, Georgia. He was a man who loved deeply, worked diligently, and never missed an opportunity to make those around him smile.

Tommy spent his career in car sales, a field where his charm, charisma, and genuine care for others shone brightly. He was a man who could turn a simple car buying process into a memorable experience. His passion for his work was only eclipsed by his love for his family and his favorite pastime, fishing. Tommy was known for his tall tales of the one that got away and the quiet peace he found at the end of a fishing line. His stories, filled with humor and earnestness, will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate to hear them.

Tommy was a beloved husband to Jacque May, with whom he shared over 37 beautiful years of marriage since their union on July 5, 1986. He was a cherished father to Justen, Jason, Jade and Lindsay and a doting grandfather to Brooke, Eden, and Eve.He is also survived by his sister Twila May and daughter-in-law Jaqueline May. Each of them carries a piece of Tommy’s spirit within them, a testament to his profound impact. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, David and Eva May.

Tommy’s life was a celebration of love, faith, and determination. His legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of all those he left behind. We encourage friends and loved ones to share their memories of Tommy, and to upload photos that capture the joy he brought into their lives on his memorial page. "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21). Tommy May, a faithful servant, has gained his heavenly reward.
