In Loving Memory of Thomas Gregg Adkins

March 22nd, 1979 – November 9th, 2024

With shattered hearts, we announce the sudden and tragic passing of our beloved Thomas Adkins on November 9th, 2024, at the age of 45. Tom touched everyone’s life who came into his. His glowing personality and love for banter made his presence joyous and fun-loving. He was such an amazing man to be around and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Tom was born on March 22nd, 1979, to Diana Taylor Adkins Shepard and Ben Adkins. He was a loving father, caring son, devoted brother and uncle, and loyal friend to all who loved him.

His unexpected departure from this world has impacted every life he touched. Tom is survived by his daughter, Skylar Adkins; his son, Brayden Adkins; his mother, Diana Shepard; his brother John “Bobby” Adkins; his sister, Kerianne Wilburn; his nephews Tristan and Carson Wilburn; his cousin Jon and his wife Tara, his Aunts and Uncles Donna and Gary Rice, Scott and Linda Taylor, Tom and Ann Taylor, Craig and Mary Taylor, Shawnna McKinney and many more cousins.

Tom is also survived by his extended family, Adam Nowalk and his children, Avrie and Axel Nowalk; Grandparents Ghislain and Leighanna Aubin and brothers, Zack and CJ.

Tom is preceded in death by his father, who raised him, Keith Shepard; and his niece, Taylor Adkins.

Tom had a great spirit and knew how to light up a room. His love for the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons were infectious and he always knew how to make the best of the moment when his favorite teams were losing.

His ambition and love for life was palpable and touched anyone who came into his life. He will be severely missed, but never forgotten. We love you, Tom!

Visitation will be at McDonald and Son Funeral Home from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Saturday, November 16th, 2024. Funeral services will begin at 2:00pm following the visitation on Saturday, November 16th, 2024.
