Dahlonega, Georgia
Terri Ann (Dockery) Jones age 66 of Dahlonega Georgia passed away on March 22, 2024.
Born in Atlanta Georgia on January 27, 1958, to parents Curvin and Helen (Walker) Dockery. Terri Ann grew up in Hapeville Georgia and attended Walter F George High School, later pursuing a business degree and even dabbling in modeling courses-albeit short-lived (pun intended as she was only 4ft 11inches).
Terri was a member of Cavender Creek Baptist Church in Dahlonega and her hobbies included listening to music (remember that extensive 8 track and record collection she wouldn’t let go of?!), collecting obnoxious keychains, and photography. Never one to show up without a camera crammed deep down into her “pocketbook” she had a knack for turning simple photo's into some type of abstract mysteries. Even her best efforts left us guessing whose head or torso was depicted and at what angle she was actually holding the camera at.
There was never a dull moment with Terri Ann and her thousand question routine. She never met a stranger, however as her dementia progressed it then would simply require just 6 to 8 more of what SHE believed were first encounters.
Terri is preceded in death by her mother and father Curvin & Helen Dockery; and brother, Kenneth Dockery.
Terri is survived by her daughter and grandson Amanda Jones & Dockery Edmondson of Dahlonega; brother Cecil Dockery of Bremen Georgia and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who also survive.
A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 6:00pm followed by a memorial service at 7:00pm at Dahlonega Funeral Home, 20 Gibson Road, Dahlonega, Georgia, 30533.
Please join us in celebrating the life and love of Terri Ann. As her famous repetitive words would indicate-“now send me a picture,” we encourage everyone to add your favorite photographs and share a story on her memorial page. Let's remember her as she was - full of life, laughter, and love.
