Cumming, Georgia
With an immense sense of sorrow, we are announcing the passing of Teresa Arlene Nichols, who left us on September 26, 2024. Born on May 4, 1963, in Springfield, OH, USA, Teresa lived a life filled with warmth, grace, and boundless love. She was a beacon of light in our lives, her radiant smile and abundant kindness left a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a woman of faith, a cherished member of the Cumming First United Methodist Church, and in times of sorrow, we find comfort in the Holy Scriptures, particularly Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
In her professional life, Teresa was a graduate of Bowling Green State University and MBA from University of California - Irvine. She held executive positions at Hughes Aircraft and AT&T exhibiting a combination of leadership, dedication, and compassion. She was an ardent lover of sports and outdoor activities, and her favorite pastimes included tennis, snow skiing, and beach volleyball. Her lively spirit and competitive nature were always on full display as she played these games with great joy and zeal. Even in her retirement, she maintained her zest for life and adventure, filling her days with activities she loved.
Teresa was preceded in death by her loving mother, Janice Belt, and her beloved husband, Philip Nichols. She is survived by her father Merwyn (Eva) Belt; her sister Tammy (Jim) Hensley; her nieces Alexandria Hensley, Kelsey (Jim) Sheffield - James & Banks, and Taylor (Billy) Stark - Butler; her stepchildren/grandchildren, Kimber (Tommy) Tallant; Drew (Ashlee) Nichols - Eilee & Kinslee; Cale (Felicia) Tallant - Caroline and Walker; Todd (Kristy) Nichols - Makenna & Jackson; her stepbrother Martin Krischel; her stepsisters Margrit Krischel Kothe, Michelle Beckert Teroni and Monika Beckert Randall. Her indomitable spirit and love for life will live on in their hearts forever.
The family would like to give special thanks to Northside Forsyth Hospital, AccentCare Hospice and her care giving friends for the special love the past few months.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to cfumcga.org or Furkids.org.
We encourage all who knew her to share their memories, stories, and photographs on her memorial page. It is through these shared memories that we can continue to celebrate Teresa's wonderful life, even as we mourn her passing. As we remember her, let us celebrate the love she spread, the lives she touched, and the happiness she brought into our world.
