Tammy Loretta (Jenkins) Dowdle

Mrs. Tammy Loretta Jenkins Dowdle, age 52 of Dahlonega, went home to be with the Lord on March 27th, 2015. Tammy was a native of Lumpkin County and a member of Kings Highway Holiness Church; she was strong in her faith and enjoyed being active with the youth. Most importantly Tammy was a loved wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Dowdle was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Lee Jenkins and Zona Rosell Wood Jenkins of Murrayville, and her brother Ernest Jenkins.

Tammy is survived by her loving husband of 38 years David Dowdle, her son Nathan Dowdle and wife Ashley, daughter Heather Patterson and husband Mark; brothers and sisters Elizabeth McFarland, Debra Jones, Gail Harris, Lynn Dowdle, and Grady Jenkins; grandchildren Hunter Dowdle, Ethan Dowdle, Katie Patterson, Ashtyn Dowdle, and Jacob Patterson. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Visitation for Mrs. Dowdle will be held on Sunday March 29th, 2015 from 9:00am until 9:00pm. Funeral services will be held Monday March 30th, 2015 at 3:00pm at the Dahlonega Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Monday from 9:00am until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery.
