Susan Stowe Waites

Susan Stowe Waites, 63, of Alpharetta, GA passed away on October 3, 2013. Susan was born in Lagrange, GA and grew up in Greenville, SC. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Winson Stowe. Susan was a proud graduate of the University of Georgia and served as a supervisor at DFACS for 20 years. She was an avid antique dealer and active member of First Redeemer Church of Cumming. She is survived by her loving husband, Len Waites of Alpharetta, GA; son, Charles (Alison) Waites of Holly Springs, GA; daughter, Jennifer (Kevin) Reid of Marietta, GA; son, Chris (Georgina) Waites of Chamblee, GA; mother, Stella Stowe of Greenville, SC; brother, Gary (Nancy) Stowe of Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren, Stella, Audrey, Lawson, Charlotte; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2013 in the McDonald & Son Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM the day of the service. The Rev. Mike Schmid of First Redeemer Church will officiate. The family will meet for the inurnment on Sunday at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (www.mdausa.org).
