Susan Osborne

Susan Franzen Osborne, 73, died in Cumming, Georgia on July 11, 2026, after a short illness.

Susan was born on January 28, 1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated from Warren Central High school in 1971 where she met her great love, Donald. After spending many years working in Early Childhood Education, Susan earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Georgia in 2006. After graduation, Susan worked as a 3rd Grade teacher at Sharon Elementary School in Suwanee, Georgia until her retirement in 2018. After her retirement, Susan enjoyed spending time with her family, tending her garden, and reading.

Susan was loved and adored by family and friends and will be sorely missed. Susan is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald, her daughter Donell (Konrad Ziegler), son Christopher, grandchildren Susannah and Max Ziegler, and sister Ann Franzen-Roha (Bill).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Heydon and Margaret Franzen, and her brothers, Carl and Joel Franzen.

A Celebration of Life will be held at McDonald Funeral Home in Cumming, Georgia on August 15, 2026 with a Visitation from 1:00pm-2:00pm and a service to follow at 2:00pm.
