Susan Huttula

–

Cumming, Georgia

With deep sorrow but incredible faith in Jesus’ plan, we announce the peaceful passing of our beautiful mother, Susan (Suz) L. Huttula in December of 2025. She was our constant guide, a source of comfort, humor and unconditional love. She was a beloved wife, mother, best friend, grandmother and great grandmother; she was a woman of faith, love and kindness, whose light always shined and welcomed all; she never met a stranger.

Suz was born in Detroit, Michigan, in March of 1940. She grew up in Blissfield, Michigan, where she married Charles (Chuck) S. Huttula. Before meeting our dad, Suz went to Hillsdale College and graduated with a bachelor’s in teaching. She taught at Tecumseh High School in Michigan. She married our dad and their 30-year journey in the US Navy began. Suz found joy in running various organizations as a Navy wife and once Chuck retired, she continued this love and ran many Conservative campaigns and groups in Memphis, Tennessee. She dedicated her entire life to working in the Church in many forms and fashions.

She is survived by her husband of 61.5 years, Chuck Huttula, son Andy Huttula and family, Kate Bergdahl and family. Suz is now reunited in heaven with Jesus, her parents, her brother and her vast military family.

A celebration of life will be held in the early months of 2026, date and time to be determined. In lieu of flowers, in honor of our mother, the family requests donations to the Barney Charter School Initiative, K12 Education, Hillsdale College.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
