Susan Hayes

With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Susan Albright Hayes, who left us on May 25,2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was 77 years old.

Susan was a loving mother, cherished friend, and devoted flight attendant. For many years, she traveled the skies, always greeting passengers with a warm smile and a kind heart. Her work meant a lot to her, but nothing compared to the love she had for her family, especially her children, who were the center of her world.

Susans generosity knew no limits. Her sweet, funny nature shone through as she never missed a grandchild's sporting event, cheering them on with endless love and support. She gave freely of her heart, always putting others first without expecting anything in return.

A proud graduate of Avondale High School, Susan took great joy in organizing her class reunions, believing deeply in the value of staying connected. She valued the connections she had with her classmates and enjoyed seeing familiar faces together. Her deep love for her friends was evident in the way she spoke of them, with warmth, loyalty and a genuine heart that left a lasting impression on anyone and everyone.

Though her wings have now been folded, the memory of her spirit, her laughter, and the countless ways she showed up for those she loved will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Tonya Coleman and Craig Coleman, Tracy Wakefeild and Chris Wakefield, Jason Hayes and Beth Hayes, as well as six beloved grandchildren: Tanner Wakefield, Brelin Wakefield,Mya Nix, Austin Coleman, Abby Coleman, Gracie Hayes, Braylee Hayes, Brooklyn Hayes.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, at Mcdonald and Family Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., offering an opportunity for friends and loved ones to pay respects to the family. A second visitation will take place on Friday, May 30 at Mcdonald and Family Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service beginning at 12:00 p.m.
