Steven Martin Hall “Squeeze”, age 55, passed peacefully in his sleep, July 11, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. Steve was born in Columbia, South Carolina on April 2, 1969, to Charles Wade Hall and Georgia Compton Hall.
The family moved to Atlanta where he attended and graduated from Crestwood High School in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Steve was a standout football player. He attended Samford University where he lettered in varsity football. He graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Physical Education and Health.
For 27 years Steve was an educator and coach, guiding and mentoring thousands of student-athletes. Steve’s success as a coach can be seen in the two state championship girls’ golf teams he led, but also in the direct, profound and positive impact he had on those he taught and coached.
For those fortunate enough to have their lives touched by knowing Steve, they have forever had their lives enriched by his kindness, humor, generosity, loyalty and love.
Steve is survived by his mother, Georgia Hall, brother, Scott Hall, and son, Pierson Cole Hall. Even as a man of few words, Steve spoke often and shared numerous pictures of himself and Cole. Steve shared during those moments how much he loved and was proud of his son, Cole.
