Steven Michael Cherry

Mr. Steven Michael Cherry, 49, of Brooklyn, New York passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019.

Steve was a big hearted, caring, and compassionate son, brother, uncle, and friend. Steve was a member of Vineville Baptist Church in Macon, GA. He was always there for you if you needed him and often before you asked.

Steve's love for others also showed in his first career choice where he specialized in nuclear medicine and worked at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital.

He had a zeal for life and adventure that lead to wonderful relationships, world travels, and an awe-inspiring eye for photography. Some of his work is displayed on his Instagram account - SMCNYC, if you'd like to enjoy his beautiful perspective.

Steve is survived by his parents; James Cherry (Sandra) of Cumming, GA.

Brothers; Brian T. Cherry (Tracy) of Cumming, GA; and Greg Cherry (Elizabeth) of Cumming, GA.

Nieces and nephews; Airforce Staff Sergeant Jacob, Ben, Katie, Jonathan, Annabelle, Emmaline, and James.

Aunts and uncles; Claudette Cox, Steve Cox, Andy (Crystal) Cherry, Alex (Cyndi) Bridges.
Cousins and their children; Buddy (Lisa) Voegtle, McGuire, Sieara, Narea; Reid (Brandy) Bailey, Amelia; Amy (Brad) Smith, Drew (Marley) Cherry, Jase and Holyn.
Garner (Louvenia) Eckler, Jasmine, Daniel, Mykayla; Candi (Eli) Harrell, Cotton; Brittney (Ryan) Prince, Reagan; Joanna (Tony) Perkins, Darian, Kiana, Prince; Robby (Jessica) Cox, Turner and Declan.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 4pm-9pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home, and on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 12:00pm until time of service.

Funeral services will take place Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 1pm in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Steve's name to the American Heart Association, or to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital.

Steve loved his family, and his comforting presence will be greatly missed. We love you Steve!
