Stephen Shaw Lokey

Stephen Shaw Lokey (Steve) passed away peacefully on July 16, 2021. Steve was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 1, 1941. He graduated from Northside High School in 1959 and the University of Georgia in 1964.

Steve was predeceased by his parents Hugh Montgomery Lokey, Jr. and Kathleen Shaw Lokey. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Debbie Leggett Read Lokey. Steve is very lovingly remembered by his daughter Laurie Lokey Karickhoff (Brent), son Stephen Shaw Lokey, Jr. (Susan), stepsons Ernest Oliver Read, III (Karen) and Richard von Seeberg Read (Christine), his brothers and sisters, Kathleen Lokey Bishop, Hugh Montgomery Lokey, III (Carol), and Thomas Hamilton Lokey, as well as his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Steve loved golf, the Georgia Bulldogs, and his family, immensely!

A celebration of life will be held on August 12, 2021, in Washington, Georgia where Steve's parents, grandparents, and other extended family are buried.
