Sarah Elizabeth Spratlin Whitehead

Sarah Elizabeth Spratlin Whitehead, 98, of Cumming, GA passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010. Born in Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Whitehead was predeceased by her husband; Theodore James Whitehead in 1991. Mrs. Whitehead was a member of Clairmont Hills Baptist Church in Decatur, GA. She graduated from Girls High School in Atlanta, GA, and in May of 1938 graduated from the High Museum of Art. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Robert) Gilman of Landrum, SC; son, Jim (Brenda) Whitehead of Cumming, GA; sister, Roberta Spratlin of Cumming, GA; 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 8, 2010 in the chapel of McDonald & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Burgess officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. There will be a visitation from 3:00 6:00 p.m Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the funeral home.
