Samuel E Wilson

Samuel E. Wilson of Cumming passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017. A native of Gadsden, AL, Sam relocated to the Atlanta area after high school graduation. He moved to Cumming in 1986. Sam was employed by Eaton Corporation for 35 years as a Technical Engneer. He is United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Sam was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

Sam is preceded in death by his parents Samuel "SD" and Alma Wilson and his son Fred Wilson. He is survived by his wife Maureen of 39 years, his son Samuel Craig Wilson, foster daughter Becky Donahoo, grandchildren Kaylyn McLain, Austin Perry, Alex Perry, Craig Wilson, Daniel Hazel, Ashley Dawn Cambre, Great grandchildren Rien, Walker, Brook, & Carter, a brother Fred Wilson of Greer, SC, two sisters, Shirley Fike of Cocoa, Fl and Betty (Doyce) Day of Wellington, Al and several nieces and nephews.

Other survivors include his loving cats Tommy and Casey. Sam was an avid Alabama football fan...ROLL TIDE.

The family will receive friends on Thursday December 21, 2017 from 10am to 11am at McDonald and Son Funeral Home where a funeral service will follow at 11am in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Georgia.
