Sally Joan Wolters

Sally Joan Wolters was born August 14, 1950, in Atwood, KS, the daughter of Herman G. “Pete” and Joan (Wolkensdorfer) Wolters. Sally was one of four daughters and grew up on a farm outside of Atwood, KS.

Sally was the loving mother of Jennifer and Benjamin. She worked as a legal secretary for Lewis, Lewis and Beims in Atwood and finally for the State of Kansas, Department of Administration, until her retirement. Sally moved to Georgia to live with her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter before passing away on September 21, 2024.

Sally is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Watkins) and Luke Schierts of Cumming, GA; son, Benjamin Watkins of Lacon, IL; granddaughter Emily Schierts of Atlanta, GA; sister Jane (Wolters) and Gary Brubaker of Bird City, KS; sister Jill Wolters of Topeka, KS; and nieces Margaret and Emma Turner and nephews Joe Vap, Rob Vap, and Jacob Brubaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Suzanne (Wolters) Hodge.
