Ruby Avaline (Sims) Allen

Mrs Ruby Avaline Sims Allen, age 85 of Cleveland. Ruby passed away Saturday,December 27, 2014. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in the chape of Alexander Funeral Home with Rev. Garry Hefner and Doug Sims officiating. Interment will follow in the Allen Family Cemetery

Ruby was born on February 18, 1929 to the late Ernest Sims and Roxie Fain Sims. Ruby was a homemaker in the truest sense of the word. She assisted her husband , the late Loye Allen in his timber business and along with him founded and operated the Mauney House Resturant for a number of years. Ruby was a woman who loved her God and her family and was not afraid to get her hands dirty no matter what the task at the same time remaining a perfect lady. In addition to her parents and late husband, Loye Allen, Ruby is preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Allen Brogdon, son, Danny Allen, sisters Pauline Black and brothers, Earl Sims, Burns Sims, Clarence Sims, Eugene Sims and Harold Sims. Survivors include her sons, David Allen (Mindy Rose) of Cleveland; Robin Allen (Cheryl) also of Cleveland; daughter, Crystal Gunnarson, Gulfport, Mississippi; brother Edward Sims of Clarkesville. Ruby is also survived by erh 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren

The family will recieve friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 8pm
