Roy Eulus Seay

Mr. Roy Eulus Seay, age 76, of Dawsonville, GA, left this world as he wished, at home, surrounded by those he loved on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Roy was born on November 24, 1946, in Atlanta, GA to Ulus and Pauline Seay.

Roy attended Fulton High School in his beloved Lakewood area of Atlanta and graduated in 1964.

Within a few years of his graduation, Roy became employed as a letter carrier for the south Atlanta division of the United States Postal Service. Roy was a dedicated employee of over 35 years and was blessed to be able to retire at age 55. During his retirement, Roy spent his time enjoying his love of playing chess, reading, visiting with friends from his school days, doting on his grandchildren and pampering his beloved pets, Beau, Baby, Prince and Charlie.

Roy is survived by his beautiful wife of 50 years, Genita, and his children, Jeff, April and Alison. Roy loved his role as "Pawpaw" to his grandchildren, Brittany, Brent (Samantha), Hannah, Ansley (Christopher), Andrew (Sarah), Nicholas, Benjamin, Bailey Rae and SaraBeth (Ryan). Roy is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, niece Sandra and many cousins from the Bearden and Seay families. Roy is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ricky.

Services are being held at McDonald and Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA. Services include visitation on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, from 4pm-7pm, funeral service on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 11am. Interment will be January 18, 2023, at 2:30pm at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, 722 Conley Road, Forest Park, GA.
