Roy Morris

Roy Allen Morris age 85 of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away on May 31, 2025. Mr. Morris was born in Calhoun, Georgia to AJ and Thelma Morris. Mr. Roy Morris was a loving and devoted husband of 64 years, dad, and brother. He was a Veteran of the Army in which he served two terms. He always sent for his family no matter where he was located. Even when he was in Germany for 2 1/2 years. His wife Mrs. Mary (Gerry) Morris was always packed and ready to go when he called. He worked in construction as a crane driver for many years. Then they bought a chicken farm on hwy 9 in Dahlonega, Georgia so they were able to spend more time together. They lived there until they retired and moved to their home on Old Dahlonega Hwy. Roy was heartbroken when Gerry passed 2 years ago.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Morris is preceded by his wife Mary (Gerry) Morris, his daughter Alice Eminger, brothers John Morris, James Morris, and his sister Jan Jackson.

Roy Allen Morris is survived by his daughter Carolyn Torres,, son Elmer Morris, brother Andrew Morris, sisters Sarah Kinesy, Jackie cox: grandchildren: Norma (Michael) De Alejandro, Maria (Brandon) Peters, Gerald (Amy) Morris: great grandchildren: Jose Angel Salgado Jr, Jose Luis Salgado, Rose Mary Osorio, Angel & Jorge Martinez, Leslie Sanchez, Harley & Harper Peters, James Morris, Noah Morris, Tobias Morris, and Rebekah Morris. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Family will receive friends on Saturday June 7, 2025 from 4pm until 8pm at Cleveland Funeral Home and on Sunday June 8, 2025 from 12pm until 2pm with a service following in the chapel of Cleveland Funeral Home. Entombment to follow at Yonah View Cemetery in Cleveland, Georgia.
