Rosemary McSherry D'Cunha

Rosemary McSherry D'Cunha passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the age of 71. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland to parents James and Margaret McSherry on December 29, 1943. Rosemary graduated from the University of Glasgow with a degree in medicine. She came to the United States in the late 1960's, completed her training and specialized in the area of pathology until she retired many years later. She practiced in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Winnipeg, Manitoba; Atlanta, Georgia; and communities near St. Simons Island, Georgia. She also served as the Director of Labs in Winnipeg, Manitoba during her time there. Rosemary was a supporter of many charities including the arts and loved to attend performances and concerts. She also loved to travel, dance, was an avid seamstress and cherished her dogs Fumbles and Charlie. Rosemary is survived by her son Jonathan D'Cunha and his wife Lisa; her son Christopher D'Cunha; and her daughter Caroline Hanson and her husband Keith. As well as five grandchildren Hannah, Mikayla, Joseph, Ella and Sean. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt and granny and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. A mass in her memory will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at St. Brendan's Catholic Church in Cumming, GA.
