Ronald Leslie Gaus

Ronald Leslie Gaus, 69, of Gainesville, GA passed away on April 9, 2011. Born in Louisville, KY, he was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Juanita Gaus; and brother, Stanley Gaus. Mr. Gaus served in the US Army. He was employed as a courier at Lan Mar Marina in Gainesville, GA. He and Sandy retired to Gainesville 23 years ago. There they are members of the Hearthstone Lodge where they exercise and swim three days per week. He is survived by his wife of nearly 33 years, Sandy Gaus of Gainesville, GA; daughter, Katherine Gaus of Miami, FL; stepson, Anthony Pettit of Liberty, KY; stepson, Gregory Pettit of Louisville, KY; stepdaughter, Angela West of Louisville, KY; brother, Clarence (Linda) Gaus of Louisville, KY; brother, Donald Gaus of Louisville, KY; brother, Gary (Vicky) Gaus of Louisville, KY; and his beloved pets Cleo and Jasmine. The family will receive friends from 6:00 9:00 pm at McDonald & Son Funeral Home in Cumming, GA on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home at 3800 Bardstown Road in Louisville, Kentucky. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 4:00 pm the day of the service. Rev. Gene Scheich will officiate.
