Robert N. (Bob/Bear) Swisher

Robert (Bob/Bear) N. Swisher, 81, transitioned from this life on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 after a 9 month valiant fight against cancer. He was the son of the late Frank and Rita Swisher of DuBois, PA. He was proceeded in death by his younger brother, Andrew Swisher of San Francisco, CA. He is survived by his wife, Patsy J. Day. He also leaves behind his brother and sister in law, Joseph and Pat Swisher of DuBois, PA as well as nieces and nephews. Bob was active in the Bent Tree Community golf program for many years. He and his wife were active animal advocates, rescuing dogs and cats together for almost 35 yrs. Bob was employed by Associates Financial Corporation before beginning a career in Georgia with Citibank NA (now Citi) from which he retired in 1991. He is also survived by his canine companions: Buster,Honey, Tyler James, Cassie, Woofie Wu-Wu, Chris Christmas & Antonio Italiano Extraordinaire the First. Felines survivors include Puddie, Miss Marple, Oliver Twist, Audrey Hepburn, Fred Astair, Big Shot, Geraldine G. and Josephine J. Jones. No services are planned at Bob's request, however a celebration of Bob's love of golf will be held later in the fall at the Bent Tree golf course.
