Ricky Phil "Troy" Magness

Mr. Ricky Phil "Troy" Magness, age 56 of Cleveland. Mr. Magness passed away Monday, March 25, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Josh Chatum, Rev. Calvin Gooch and Rev. Charles Abernathy will officiate. Mr. Magness will lie in state from 1:30pm to 2:00pm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8pm.

Mr. Magness was born in Habersham County, April 14, 1956, to his parents, the late Fletcher Magness and Dorothy Abernathy Magness. Ricky "Troy" lived most of his life in Cleveland, Georgia. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings; Donald Magness, Robert Magness, Jerry Magness, Harold Magness, Carlos Magness, Ruthalene Magness Savage, and Martha Magness Owens.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Harkins Magness, and his two sons and daughter in law Zachary Fletch and Ragan Magness, all of Cleveland; his brother, Garvis Magness of South Carolina, and his sister, Josephine Sutton of Cleveland. Mr. Magness is also survived by his seven grandchildren.

Ricky loved his GOD, his church, and all of his family. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his precious grandchildren . One of his favorite pastimes was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
