Richard Walter Bock
August 6, 1935 – January 30, 2024

Richard W. Bock, 88, passed away peacefully January 30, 2024, in Cumming, Georgia. Richard was born in Glen Ridge, NJ to the late Willam R. Bock and late Hildegard Bock. After attending Newark Academy, he graduated in 1953 from Grover Cleveland High School located in Caldwell, NJ. He went on to earn a B.A. degree in Business from Michigan State University, graduating in 1957. After graduation, Richard served two years in the United States Army. His business career spanned 35 years in the Graphic Arts industry promoting the sales of large capital equipment.

Richard is predeceased in death by his brother, William R. Bock. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ruth Ellen Bock, a daughter, Beth Bock Scholz of Moore, SC, a son, Tom Bock (Denise Bock) of Cumming, GA and 6 grandchildren, Thomas Scholz, Sarah Scholz, Ashlee Bock, Bowen Bock, Jack Bock, and Allison Bock.

He is a member of Cumming First United Methodist Church in Cumming, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN for stjude.org or to the American Cancer Society. The family will hold a private celebration of life in the near future.
