Richard Peacock

Our community sadly lost a pillar on March 4th at 9:00 pm. When Arthur Richard Peacock went home to be with the Lord. He was born in Marlin Texas Jan. 14th 1937. A graduate of Texas A&M class of 1959. After graduating he joined the Air Force reserve. His career began in Houston, Tx working for Commercial Credit Union followed by Carrier Air Conditioning in Syracuse N.Y. for three years before transferring to Atlanta & working for Clary & Associates.

He formed Peacock Sales in 1978 and retired 40 years later. The Lord called him to start a nursing home ministry shortly after. That was his passion. Sharing God's love & teaching His word.

He was a member of North Lanier Baptist church for many years and served as a deacon. He left behind many friends. Preceded in death his mother Juanita & father Frank Peacock of Marlin Tx. Grandparents Mr & Mrs. A.C. Ferguson of Commerce Texas. He is survived by his wife Linda of 60 years. Four Son's Art wife Sheri, Clay, Jason of Cumming & David of Chattanooga Tn. Five grandchildren Michael, Kyle, Gabriel, Faith, & Gracie. Four Step grandchildren Carley, Camille, Carson Byrd & Corey Peacock. Brother Frank of Longview Texas. One Niece Amy Tillman & one nephew Wendell Peacock. Funeral Services were held at McDonald and Son's on March 9th at 3 p.m. Burial service was followed at Sawnee View Memorial Garden.
