Richard Allen Meadows, a beam of light in the lives of all who knew him, was born on April 7, 1968 in Atlanta, Georgia. Known for his charismatic personality and thoughtful nature, Richard was a beacon of love and dedication to his family, friends, and community. A true Georgian at heart, he was an avid UGA Bulldog and Atlanta Falcons fan. His love for grilling, gardening, and traveling were only surpassed by the joy he found in watching his favorite shows - Friends and Family Feud. Richard's love for life radiated in all that he did and his infectious spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
Richard was a loving husband, sharing thirty years of a beautiful marriage with his wife, Krista Meadows. Together, they navigated life's highs and lows, with their love for each other and their family as their guiding light. Richard was a loving father to his children, Gracie (Michael) Martin and Carson Meadows, and a doting Poppy to his grandchildren, Alianna Martin and New Baby Martin. His love for his family was deeply interwoven in his faith, and he instilled the values and teachings of God and Jesus into his family. His dedication to his family was evident in his everyday life, and the legacy of his love will continue to inspire and guide them.
Richard is survived by his wife, Krista Meadows; his children, Gracie (Michael) Martin and Carson Meadows; his grandchildren, Alianna Martin and New Baby Martin; his mother, Martha Ann Meadows; his brothers, Kevin and Mike (Wendy) Meadows; his sister, Angela (Ronnie) Barnes; his in-laws Don and Jodi Keyser; his brother in-law Jeremy (Stephanie) Keyser; his nieces and nephews, April (Christian) Velasquez, A'den and Kylie Velasquez, Kari Barnes, Taylor and Braden Meadows, and JoJo Dodds; his Aunt in-law Gail James; his cousins Kimberly, Caroline, and Josh Swanson, Frank, Tegan and Bryn James, along with many other loving cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Brooks Meadows; his Grandparents, Thomas Carson Meadows, Jack and Kick Fambrough, and Don and Lucy Keyser; his Uncle Thomas Chip Meadows, and Uncle-in-law, Frank Milton James, and his cousin in-laws Bobby and Judy Crutchfield.
"Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?" - John 14:1-2. Richard's faith in God was a cornerstone of his life, and his family takes comfort in the knowledge that he is at peace in his heavenly home.
We encourage friends and family to share their memories and upload photos of Richard to the memorial page. In celebrating his life and cherishing the moments shared with him, Richard's spirit lives on. His kind heart, charismatic personality, and dedication to his loved ones will forever be remembered and celebrated. xoxo...
