Richard Martin Henry Huber, loving husband, devoted father, cherished son, and loyal brother, passed from this world leaving behind a family who loved him deeply. Born on November 2, 1971, Richie lived a life marked by service, strength, and quiet devotion. He graduated from Jonesboro High School and went on to serve his community with honor, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service with DeKalb County Fire and Rescue.
Richie was the best of us. He loved with a depth that was not always easy to see, and he gave more of himself than he ever asked in return. Those who knew him best will remember his presence, his heart, and the quiet ways he showed his love.
He is survived by the family who will carry both his memory and the weight of his absence: his wife, April; his children, Devran, Sophia, and Hank; his parents, Merleen and Rick; and his brothers, Matt, Paul, and John.
In the days ahead, we are left not only with grief, but with reflection—on how deeply he mattered, and the things we wish we had said, done, and understood while he was here.
Richie is now at peace. His life was a reflection of quiet strength and enduring devotion. He was our protector. He was our champion.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 2:00pm from the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of service.
