Reginold "RJ" Pate Obituary (1930 - 2022)

Reginold Jefferson Pate, affectionately known as "RJ", of Cumming, GA formerly of Irom, SC, passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 92. RJ was born on September 2, 1930, in Ashbura, Georgia, to the late Charles and Carrie Pate. RJ served in the US Army and US Navy. He served during the Korean War. He went on to retire from Quicncy's and Irmo's Auto Parts. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Joan McCombs Pate; son-in-law Robert Repasz Sr.; and all his siblings. He is survived by his daughter Rhonda Pate Repasz; his grandchildren: Ashley Repasz, Robert Repasz Jr., and Jefferson Repasz; his great grandson Wyatt Douglas; his sister-in-law Jean McCombs Turner; and many nephews, nieces, and friends. He will be missed by many. A visitation will be held at McDonald and Son Funeral Home in Cumming, GA, on Monday December 26, 2022, from 1:00PM - 3:00PM. A subsequent visitation will be held in Lexington, SC, at Thompson Funeral Home, on Wednesday December 28, 2022, at 11:00AM followed by a graveside service at Woodridge Memorial Park.
