Rebecca Hobbs Richards

RICHARDS, Rebecca Ann Richards (nee Hobbs), passed away on July 11, 2015. She was born on March 16, 1936 in Atlanta, GA. Rebecca graduated from Sylvan Hills High School in Atlanta and attended Georgia State University. Rebecca raised her family in Decatur and Stone Mountain, GA for 42 years. She retired from the State of Georgia in 2001 has lived in Cumming, GA since 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents Wade Hampton and Mae Tidwell Hobbs and by her husband Clarence Herbert "Rich" Richards. Rebecca is survived by sons, Philip and Craig Richards, Craig's wife Valerie, and sister, Vernell Sandford, husband John and their children David, Donna and Karen. Rebecca will always be remembered by all who knew and loved her for her laughter and love of life and family. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the McDonald and Son Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from noon until service time.
