Dahlonega, Georgia
Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Ralph Prescott passed away peacefully in Dahlonega, Georgia, surrounded by his loving family, after a life well lived and faithfully served.
Born December 11, 1935, in Dublin, Georgia, Ralph was the son of William Osgood and Annie Prescott, who preceded him in death.
He grew up in Belle Glade, Florida, where he met his wife, Carole. Ralph and Carole shared a devoted marriage of 65 years grounded in faith, service, and a deep love for their family.
Ralph worked in the insurance industry for more than 50 years, with a brief time in poultry farming before returning to insurance. Throughout his life, he faithfully served his community. He co-founded the Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary Club, was a member of the Cooper Green Men's Prayer Group, served eight years on the Dahlonega City Council, and supported numerous organizations, including the Helping Place, Jeremiah's Place, Rainbow Children's Home, and Tres Dias.
Ralph loved the Lord first and foremost and his very exclusive Tuesday night fellowship group, golfing, helping others, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family. He was known for his strong spirit, humor, generosity, Christian faith, and his love for meeting new people.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Carole; his daughters, Sharon (David) and Pam (Emmett); his three beloved granddaughters, Alyson, Bailey, and Morgan French; and many cherished nieces and nephews: Kathy McRae, Anthony McRae, Anthoney McRae II, Bill Prescott, Will Prescott, Dominic Gatti, Kyle Prescott, Julie Prescott, Hannah Prescott, Andrew Prescott, Abby Claire Prescott, Debra Prescott, and Doug Purciful. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Donnie, and his brothers, William Osgood Prescott, Sydney Prescott, and Ray Prescott.
In his final days, Ralph told his family and friends how excited he was to be going home to Heaven. He looked forward to being reunited with his son, his brothers, and his parents. We take comfort in the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:23
