Ralph Allison Davis, 72, beloved husband, father and grandfather, went home to his Lord on the morning of April 2, 2016. He was born to Neuman and Olivia Davis on July 25th,1943 in Blakely, GA.
Many people knew Ralph as the owner of RAD Enterprises. Building was not only Ralph's occupation, it was his favorite hobby. He had a passion for building things - churches, strip malls and warehouses. He made many good friends with the employees, customers and sub-contractors he worked with. He was especially grateful for his close friendship with Joel Crawford, and for the many years they worked together.
Ralph loved living on Lake Sidney Lanier with his wife, two dogs and a cat. He was passionate about water and boated frequently, sometimes with friends but more often by himself, taking pleasure in the seasons and small happenings of the birds and fish surrounding him. He reveled in traveling with Janice and friends in Europe and all over the United States. He especially loved introducing friends to new experiences like steamboat and houseboat junkets, canal trips through France and England, and a delightful train trip on the American Orient Express from Jackson Hole to Santa Fe.
Visiting with his grandchildren, Danielle, Sydney, Alyssa, Carson, Zachary, Jake, Faith, Mike, and Drew brought Ralph a great deal of happiness. He enjoyed just being with them or watching them as they played in the water or participated in their sports.
Ralph was very involved with his church, serving on the vestry and assisting in the design and completion of the building expansion. He recently served on the Forsyth County Board of Elections and was an active member of the Forsyth County Republican Party.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Janice Ingrassia Davis, his children, Sandra Gayle Hatten (Matt), Wayne Allison Davis (Bonnie), and Ray Davis, his stepchildren, Christina Marie Okland (Dean) and Robert Smith (Bobbi), nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on June 11, 2016 at 11:00AM at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit at 724 Pilgrim Mill Road, Cumming, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit - Outreach Program.
