Peggy (Jarrell) Carroll

Peggy Rosetta Carroll passed away peacefully on December 16th, 2024 at the age of 85. She was born on December 11th in Dunwoody, GA to the late Lucille & R.P. Jarrell. Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her children Jane King and David Weathers, beloved sister Nancy and brother Roland, nieces and nephews, and many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Peggy had a smile that could light up the room. She was kind hearted, generous, loving, and had a great sense of humor. Peggy and her late husband Douglas Carroll both brought smiles wherever they went. They loved taking day trips to the North Georgia mountains, quilting, and even gardening together. She truly enjoyed her 35 years in the grocery business and found passion in everything she did throughout her life.

Peggy kept her hands busy and created the most beautiful things for her family and friends. Her hobbies she found joy in included baking, gardening, quilting, and sewing. Her knowledge of sewing made her a wonderful seamstress and she later became a quilt historian. She made her daughter's wedding dress, countless quilts, donated Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls to children at Scottish Right Hospital, and her pound cake and cookies were enjoyed by all.

Peggy's faith always guided her throughout her long life. She was a devoted member of the Winters Chaple Methodist Church for many years. Peggy showed the love of God through her many acts of kindness and understanding. The family takes comfort in knowing that Peggy is now resting in peace with her husband Doug and her family in heaven.
