Paul Henry Smith

Paul Henry Smith, 69, of Foley, AL, passed away surrounded by his loved ones at his daughter's residence in Cumming, GA, on September 19, 2016, after a long and brave battle with bladder cancer. Paul was the youngest of 7, born in Pittsburgh, PA to Hungarian immigrants, William and Margarit Angel on October 7, 1946.

In 1963, at the age of 18, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served until 1967 in Pensacola, FL. He married Pensacola native, Sharon Shaw in June of 1966. Paul and Sharon settled and raised their two beautiful daughters in Stone Mountain, GA; where he was employed by MARTA, before retiring to Foley, AL in 2013.

Paul will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. He loved life and had an amazing sense of humor. We take comfort in knowing that the angels relieved his suffering and carried him home to "dwell in the house of the LORD for ever"- Psalms 23.
