Paul Arthur Massie

Paul Massie, 73, longtime Barber of Cumming, GA and devoted father and husband, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 24, 2017. Paul is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean, son, Alex (Betsy) of Smyrna, GA, daughter, Pam (James) of Dawsonville, GA, and 4 loving grandchildren (Lindsey, Morgan, Amelia, and Jack). Paul is one of 9 children and he is also survived by brother Steve Massie of Newnan, GA and Mary Inman of Hiddenite, NC. Paul is preceded in death by his son, Andy, and siblings Clayton, Wayne, David, Anna Lou, Wilburn, and Roy.

Paul was an avid reader and having his children continue their educations was a priority for him. He was particularly proud that both of his children graduated from college and also earned graduate level degrees. A small family ceremony is planned at Fines Creek, NC. A Celebration of Life service will be planned in Cumming, GA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Paul's honor to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 3140 Pleasant Grove Road, Cumming, GA 30028.
