Paul Arthur Marsal, Jr.

Paul Marsal, Jr. died peacefully on July 13, 2018 in Cumming, GA. He was 83.

Mr. Marsal was born on November 1, 1934 in Cleveland, OH to his parents, Paul and Jeannette Marsal. He graduated from Case Western Reserve with a degree in Business in 1957. He married Edythe Bonney in 1957. Paul continued his education by attending Washington University in St. Louis where he received his M.BA. in 1959. The Marsal's moved to South Florida in 1959 where Paul began his 50+ year career as a stockbroker. In 1961, they started their family. He retired in 2012 and dedicated his remaining time to his family and grandchildren.

Mr. Marsal was a patient and supportive parent and friend with a passion for boating and sailing since childhood. He inspired others to live their lives to the fullest and be kind to all people.

Mr. Marsal is survived by his wife of 60 years, Edy Marsal of Cumming, GA; his daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Neal Riley of Flowery Branch, GA; his daughter, Dana Marsal of Buford, GA; his son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Rachel Marsal of Cumming, GA; his son-in-law, Terry Mathewson of Cumming, GA; his brother, Peter Marsal of Gig Harbor, WA; and 4 grandchildren, Andrew Mathewson, Tyler Mathewson, Melissa Riley and Kevin Riley. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Marsal Mathewson; and his parents, Paul Sr. and Jeannette Marsal.

A memorial celebration to honor the life of Paul Marsal will take place on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA 30040 at 3:00 pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mr. Marsal's life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Research Foundation and/or the American Cancer Society.
