Paul Clifford Gibel

Paul Gibel, age 46 of Cumming, Georgia died April 6th, 2012 after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Paul was born June 7, 1965 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Suzanne Gibel and the late Paul Kenneth Gibel. Paul earned a seat on the US Rowing Team and attended Temple University in Philadelphia on a full rowing scholarship. Paul married Kristine, and moved to Cumming, Georgia in 1990 and raised their four children, Courtney, Michael, Sean and Jake. Paul is survived by his wife Kristine, children Courtney, Michael, Sean and Jake (Cumming, Georgia); mother, Suzanne (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania); sister, Marian Venezia (Collegeville, Pennsylvania) and many other family members. Paul will forever be in their hearts. A private family memorial service celebrating Paul s life will be held on Tuesday, April 10th, with Reverend Mike Schmid officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul s memory to St. Jude s Children Hospital (www.stjude.org). The family wishes to thank all of the friends, prayer warriors, doctors, nurses and medical staff that showed such love and care and compassion to Paul. Your kindness made a difference in his life.
